CK Sun, PhD

CTO, VP Research & Development
Integra R&D

Dr. Sun has over 20 years of experience in RF optical equipment design. He holds 13 patents in the field of RF photonics technology, and has published 49 professional works. Sun is best known as the inventor of SR for low cost 10G/40Gbps in cable access networks, as well as the 1310 transmitter using coaxial lasers, resulting in a transmitter drawing less power at a lower cost to operate. This led to his company, Lightwave Solutions, being acquired by Cisco in 2007. Dr. Sun later founded TiOptics, before joining the team at Integra R&D. As the CTO and VP of Research & Development at Integra R&D, Dr. Sun leads the development of IP.
